Sacramento is known as the regional farm to fork city. Agriculture is rich with crops of rice, almonds, walnuts, plums, peaches, tomatoes, wheat, olives, corn, alfalfa, pears, sunflowers, grapes, kiwifruit. This oil painting of bulbous metal tank seems ominous at times with its silvery spacecraft look. This is The Freeport Water Tower along interstate I-5. It is the beacon of welcome in The Pocket region marking The City as “Farm to Fork” and prior to 2012 the tower was labeled as "The City of Trees. The artist chose to leave the stenciling off the side of the painting to give viewers permission to see the tower in its essence amongst forest greenery and dry bush. The Ultramarine blue and white clouds depict a cool, moist harvest fall day with the erect red and blue flag of a glorious Sacramento Day. Hints of grey moisture in cloud formation give rise to the image of graceful flying bird, which is indigenous of the region.
